The solar energy start-up SolFocus held a Hawaiian blessing yesterday for its new facility next to Kona airport. SolFocus doesn't currently use polysilicon solar panels. Its panels focus sunlight onto a tiny amount of germanium. CEO Gary Conley, who appeared on Sunrise this morning, said the Kona facility will donate the power it makes. |
