This situation is full of lessons about the importance of caring for and monitoring our beaches.

The Lim Family is drawn together and impacts generations not only through their music, but also through their hula tradition as well, with the award winnning Hālau, Nā Lei o ka Holokū.

Our ancestors say, no task is too great if we work together. Here is a partnership of two Hawaiian support organizations exhibiting this traditional lesson.

"When Kamehameha was born, Naeole was entrusted as his kahu. His first job was to make sure that Alapai would not nip the wauke in the bud. He wasn't going to kill him. So, he had to take Kamehameha from Kokoiki through the district of Kohala to what he thought was a very safe place up in Awini. So there was certain things that happened along the way," said Fred Cachola.

"Anahola is the most beautiful community in the State of Hawaii," said Lorraine Rapozo.

Anahola's people cherish their community as does Robin Danner of the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement who pushed for this wonderful initiative.
