Hotel Fixtures for Sale on Kauai

The luxurious Kauai resort named after Prince Albert Kamehameha, is clearing house. Everything inside the Princeville resort is being sold to make way for extensive renovations; from basics like TVs and couches, to banquet dishes and kitchenware, to 18th Century French antiques. A mainland liquidation company is handling the sale which starts Thursday and runs every day for a month.

The prices range from a dollar, to thousands of dollars.

"Everything to the walls," said Michael Lunsford, of National Content Liquidators, Inc."We're selling chandeliers, guest room furnishings, lobby furnishings, restaurants, antiques, china, silver, glassware, linens, just about anything you could imagine."

All this is to make the hotel even more luxurious. The owner, Starwood Resorts, is spending millions on renovations. When it re-opens next April, the hotel will be repositioned as a Saint Regis Resort, the most exclusive brand in the Starwood portfolio.
