Last night, the restaurant turned the fish auction site at Pier 38 into a spectacular fundraiser for the "Culinary Institute of the Pacific." Chefs from Hawaii, the mainland, Australia and Singapore prepared food for guests. And at $10,000 per table. you know the food had to be fabulous! "We also have Sam Leong who's a great chef from Singapore, so coming all the way from Singapore to cook for us is just incredible!," said Roy Yamaguchi, Roy's Restaurant. There's another fundraiser tonight at Kapiolani Community College. It'll be a walk around event for guests who'd like to taste food made by all those great chefs. If you want to attend, it'll cost you $200 a ticket. Again, the proceeds go to the Culinary Institute. |
