“It was nice, the team rides on me a lot because I'm one of the veterans on this team. So it's nice to get this win, it's not the biggest win our programs had, but right now it is for the heart and soul of this team,” said Warrior kicker Dan Kelly.

But preluding the game winner it was as close as Hawaii's played as a team all season.

Antwan Mahaley blocked a potential game winning field goal in the 4th quarter to send it in to overtime.

Inoke Funaki played his best game of the year, completing 17 of his 25 passes for 172 yards, two scores, and zero turnovers, he also added 79-yards rushing.

And Hawaii's defense was unmatched, forcing 6 Bulldog turnovers, 5 of them in the first half.

“Yeah, know body thought it you know, it was like David and Goliath, you know they were coming in at 4 and one, in the top 25 and we were one and three, we had nothing to lose and everybody thought we weren't going to come out and compete, we just made a promise to each other that we'd fight and keep competing.”
