| Suspect Arrested After Big Island Shooting |

A Big Island man is dead after a shooting in Hilo. Police responded to a report of a fight and gunshots at Puhi Bay just after 9 a.m. Sunday. Officers found Cameron Mauga, 33, with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. Police arrested a 31-year-old man shortly after the shooting for second-degree murder. Investigators said the victim and suspect knew each other but authorities are not revealing a motive for the crime. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 961-8300.              |
