People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals recently sent Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino a letter asking him to stop eating Spam.

Victorino says Spam Musubi is one of his favorite things to eat. That prompted PETA to send the Maui boy a letter documenting, what it calls, horrific findings at a pig farm that supplies Hormel (the manufacturer of Spam.)

"We suspect that the cruelty in every can of Spam will infuriate Shane more than a high Hiroki Kuroda fastball," says PETA Assistant Director Dan Shannon.

No Comment from Victorino.
