It was anchors away Wednesday in the KGMB9 studio. Stephanie Lum, Kirk Matthews, Paula Akana, Leslie Wilcox, and KGMB9's very own Keahi Tucker teamed up Wednesday to shoot a public service announcement for the nationwide switch to digital television. Hawaii's date has been moved up a month early to Jan. 15. Wildlife officials are worried about disturbing the endangered Hawaiian dark-rumped petrel. By moving the date up, broadcast towers on Maui can be dismantled before their nesting season.               |
