The 26th annual Vans Triple Crown of Surfing kicked off at 8 o'clock this morning at Haleiwa's Ali'i Beach Park. Ramsay Wharton was on the North Shore this morning to bring us a live look at the surf.

A high surf advisory is in effect for north and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu and Molokai and for north facing shores of Maui through early Friday morning. A small craft advisory is also in effect for the waters of Kauai and Oahu due to the large swell.
