Easy Eats: Autumn Spiced Nuts for NILLA Pumpkin Mousse Trifle Print E-mail

Turkey day is just next week. After shoveling down the big bird, the mashed potatoes and everything else, you also have to satisfy that sweet tooth. So Steve and Sweetie went back into the kitchen and whipped up another Easy Eats recipe.

 

 

 

 

 

 


NILLA Pumpkin Mousse Trifle with Autumn Spiced Nuts

Prep: 5 min. Total: 15 min.

Spiced Pecans - What You Need

  • 1/2 cup PLANTERS Pecan Halves
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp. Butter

Trifle - What You Need

  • 42 NILLA Wafers, divided
  • 1 pkg. ( 8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese
  • 1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 1-3/4 cups cold milk
  • 1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Vanilla Instant Pudding
  • 2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, divided
  • 1/2 cup Autumn Spiced Pecans (see to the right)

Make It:

TOSS pecans with sugar and spice; set aside. Melt butter in medium skillet on medium heat. ADD pecans; cook and stir 5 to 7 min. or until lightly toasted. SPREAD onto sheet of wax paper; cool completely.

ARRANGE 32 of the wafers on bottom and up side of 2-1/2-qt. serving bowl; set aside. BEAT cream cheese and pumpkin in medium bowl with electric beater on medium speed until well blended. ADD vanilla and spice; mix well. POUR milk into a large bowl. ADD dry pudding mix. BEAT with wire whisk 2 min. or until well blended. GENTLY STIR in 1-1/2 cups of the whipped topping. ADD cream cheese mixture; stir until well blended. SPOON half of the pudding mixture into the prepared nilla wafer bowl and top with the remaining wafers. COVER with layers of the remaining pudding mixture. SPRINKLE with the Autumn Spiced Nuts. STORE leftover dessert in refrigerator.
