Officers followed the popcorn on the ground from the burglarized store to the suspect's apartment. That's where they found the stolen items.

"They found the popcorn bags and they found a couple of bottles of Gatorade. And I think it was like maybe some Arizona teas or something. And then the cash register itself obviously, so ah that's pretty much ah a dead give-a-way," Fraham Sarwar said.

The 21-year-old suspect was arrested for a theft warrant and possession of stolen property.
