Edmondson Hall is in the middle of campus on Mcarthy Mall, next to the Hamilton Library.

The building is only 45 years old but an office fire on the third floor last month caused a pipe to burst and that caused major flood damage.

Important research projects and textbooks were destroyed. All faculty and student labs had to be relocated.

The damage is so extensive, the university said it's hiring a consultant to recommend whether to renovate the hall or tear it down.
