The MP3 players used to be in the back. That's where the manager says he saw Uale, who couldn't take the player off the shelf because of the safety lock, so he pulled out a knife, cut open the package and stuffed the MP3 player in his pocket and headed for the door. Workers called police, but minutes later Uale returned for the DVD player he left behind. A worker saw him reach over the front counter to grab the player that had been moved to the floor. A struggle took place, shattering glass shelves. Uale broke free and headed for his car. "Patrol officers responding to the scene, get the description of his truck. They pull him over, and he (says) 'I didn't do anything,' and he's arrested for this robbery," Buffett said. But Uale's jumped his $20,000 bail and is now on the run. Uale has brown curly hair and light eyes and may or may not be wearing a mustache. Police say he could blend in anywhere. Police say Uale is as no stranger to crime with numerous contempt warrants for his arrest, including trespassing, DUI, disorderly conduct and numerous traffic violations. Uale is known to hang out in the Honolulu and Windward areas. William J. Uale, Jr. is the fugitive on the run this Wanted Wednesday.
