Big Island police are on the lookout for several men behind an alleged armed robbery and kidnapping. The crime took place Saturday evening in Mountain View.
Police say the men were carrying firearms when they entered a home and demanded certain items. Three men and a female minor were then forced into a car and driven through the subdivision. The female was allegedly sexually assaulted. All were eventually freed.
One of the suspects has been identified as 22-year-old Darren Joao of Waiohinu. Police think Joao and the other suspects got away in a white Chevrolet sedan with Hawaii veteran's license plates F317.
