It was a day to celebrate of all things pineapple.

The 2nd Annual Maui Pineapple Festival and Homecoming paid tribute to the rich history of Maui Pineapple Company and it's bright future.

Company retirees talked story about the good 'ole days and reminisced about cannery life.

Everyone got the chance to tour the 100-year-old cannery and learn about the history of pineapple in Hawaii as well as the role of the fruit in the future.

"A hundred years in this cannery operation and producing processed type of fruit and now we're moving from that generation into the new generation with our Maui gold premium fresh product," said Gerry Watts, Maui Land and Pineapple.

There was a lot of great entertainment and everything regarding the pineapple as well as a pineapple cook-off with prizes for the best dishes.
