Oahu's first baby born in 2008 is a little girl named Lauren.

Nineteen-inches long, 7 pounds and 5 ounces, Lauren Mackenzie Warren, came into the world 41 minutes into the New Year at Tripler Army Medical Center.

Proud parents Chatom and Marquaita Warren were at Ala Moana Shopping Center when Marquaita's water broke.

Both never expected that their little girl would be the first Oahu baby of 2008.

"We are very excited. We were like WOW!," said Marquaita Warren, mother of baby Lauren.

"It would have been 12:41, I didn't think she would be the first. I thought it was someone else but its amazing its shocking. It's a blessing, something that I'll always remember," said Chatom Warren, father of baby Lauren.

This is the second child for Chatom and Marquaita Warren.
