That's the latest from go! Airlines Thursday. As our investigation continues, KGMB9 obtained an email to all Mesa employees, that's the parent company of go! It said both pilots have been taken off flying duties and orders workers to not speak to the media. This story has gained national attention since KGMB9 broke it Monday, and now there's more on the captain of flight 1,002. A Mesa spokesperson is countering claims he was forced to take a grueling week-long shift in Hawaii, saying the veteran pilot volunteered to work here, and has been doing so for a month. KGMB9 is continuing to look into a second communications black-out the day before, on another go! flight. Stay with KGMB9 and KGMB9.com for the very latest on both of these investigations. Meantime, a Hawaii company is taking aim at pilot fatigue with a new hi-tech tool. "How do you know when somebody's too tired? It's not like you know when somebody's had too much to drink. You can't go out and draw a blood sample or use a Breathalyzer," said John Caldwell. This device is designed to help companies measure sleep deficit in employees and calculate accident risk.
