Professional dog trainer Karen Hashimoto teaches us about puppy training sessions. She says you should train them often, but keep the lessons short.

• Aim for 10 to 15 minute sessions 3 to 4 times a day. They should never be longer than 15 minutes.
• If want to make them shorter, up the frequency to 5 to 7 times a day and make them around 5 minutes long.
• If you ever find yourself frustrated, just remember, the earlier you train them, the fewer problems you should have when they become adults.
