It's called "Operation Warrior Wake Up" and it all started with Big Island resident Robert Gowan. His father served in the Army Air Corps and when that same regiment came to the Big Island last year, he was inspired to support them. Within days, he and his neighbors collected more than 30 pounds of fresh Kona coffee to send to Iraq. The soldiers say they're grateful, not just for the coffee, but for the love and aloha behind it. |
