Go! Airline's Other Blackout Under Investigation

Tonight, we have the air traffic control tapes from a 2nd go! Airlines flight that lost communication with controllers last month. For 12 minutes. They tried to contact the pilots on the Kona to Honolulu flight on February 12th. A blackout the FAA is investigating. Traffic controller: "Air shuttle 15 air shuttle 15 contact HCF approach contact HCF approach on 119.30, air shuttle 15 contact HCF approach 119.3" The controller who monitors the airspace around Maui then asks a controller at the Kona airport if he's heard from the pilots. Traffic controller: "Kona. Air shuttle, when it took off everything was normal uh?" Other controller: "Air shuttle. Yeah." Traffic controller: "He's just flying he's not talking to anybody." Other controller: "Uh no, we don't hear him down here." 1 minute later, the pilot checks in. No word yet on what the FAA's investigation uncovered. Related Story: Latest On Go!
