There won't be any bike tours down the summit of Haleakala crater for now. The national park service made the announcement Tuesday, continuing the moratorium on commercial downhill bike rides.

The report found the downhill rides pose an unacceptably high risk to visitors. The bike banning began in October of last year, following 3 deaths and several serious crashes. Bicycle tour companies will be able to run van tours in the park.
