September 8, 2006. This used to be the site of the former Waikiki nightclub Pink Cadillac. Police say that was where convicted sex offender 21-year-old Jon Rutherford met his 15-year-old victim.

"They exchanged emails, talked, sent chatting over MySpace, talked her into meeting him," said Sgt. Kim Buffett of Crimestoppers.

Police say when they met, Rutherford forced the girl to commit sexual acts against her will.

"She reported to her mother. The mother on a later date, drove her to where she had met this Jon, identified him, called police and he was arrested," Buffett said.

But police say while Rutherford was out on bail awaiting trial on that sex assault case, he was actively chatting with another underage girl online - his next victim. Police say rutherford sexually assaulted the girl at her undisclosed home in january of 2007.

Two months later, a jury convicted Rutherford in the first sex assault case. He got a year in jail but police say when he got out on probation, he took off, failing to tell the sex assault registry of his whereabouts. Now there's a warrant for his arrest.

"He was supposed to register with the Sex Offender registration. And if you change your status, meaning, if you change your employment, you move, anything - you have three days to notify," Buffett explained.

This month, a grand jury indicted Rutherford in the second sex assault case, issuing a $250,000 warrant for his arrest. Police warn Rutherford could be targeting more underage girls.

"Again, we do need help monitoring our kids on the computer to see who they are chatting to."

Jon Rutherford is described as a Caucasian man, 5 feet 7inches tall, 145 pounds with light brown hair, green eyes and a fair complexion. Rutherford is known to frequent the Honolulu, Kalihi areas, but may be in hiding out on the North Shore, Haleiwa area.

Helping police find him could put up to a thousand bucks in your pocket.
