In January Basamayor found his neighbor parked in the driveway sitting in his car with his head slumped over. Basamayor says the man had been there for several hours with the windows closed and not moving. Basamayor's quick thinking and caring saved the 87-year-old's life. "I saw him he was gasping for air. Then I ran for my mom. She said call 911," said Basamayor. Paramedics arrived and were able to save the man. Basamayor is a 6th grader at Honowai Elementary.              |
