Police say Maxwell grabbed her purse and tried to take off in her vehicle. "She's screaming for help in the parking lot. An innocent bystander hears this commotion going on, attempts to stand in back of the vehicle, asking Maxwell to stop, don't go anywhere the police are coming," said Sgt. Kim Buffett of CrimeStoppers. That's when police say Maxwell cursed at the man then threw the car in reverse. Police say the man jumped out of the way, only to be targeted again. "At this time, Maxwell aims for him in the forward position, forward motion, and hits him, causing him to roll over the hood and onto the ground," Buffett said. Injuring the man's ribs, police say Maxwell takes off, slamming into several vehicles before police arrest him at the scene. Maxwell is released pending trial, but never showed up for court. He was on probation at the time for assault and terroristic threatening convictions. He's described as 5-foot-11, weighing 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Maxwell also has a tattoo on his right shoulder. He's known to frequent East Honolulu and Windward Oahu areas. Helping police find him could put up to a thousand bucks in your pocket.              |
