There is thick vog over most of our state today, but things have actually improved at the source of the vog. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park reopened today, after winds moved in and the sulfur dioxide levels dropped. The park was closed for the past two days because of high levels of SO2. The skies aren't clear though, here's a look at voggy hazy blanketing Hilo town. O`ahu has also been blanketed under a thick layer of vog all day. This was the view from Makakilo this morning, looking out toward Ewa Beach. |
