With summer approaching and the temperatures rising, it's important to keep your pets cool. Walk them in the mornings or early evenings. If you have to walk them when the sun is strong, make the walks shorter. Bring a bottle of water for your pet. It's great to give your dog a drink, but it's also a quick way to cool them. All you need to do is wet its ears because that's where the blood vessels are closest to the surface. And soak the paws. There are sweat glands in the pads. Take note. if you're dog refuses to walk and plops down in the shade, give them the benefit of the doubt. They may be overheating. |
