Entries must include the following to be eligible:

• Child's name and age
• Name of parent or legal guardian
• Parent or legal guardian's complete mailing address and daytime phone number
• VHS Tape, DVD, or electronic file of your child doing the weather

Entrants must be between the ages of 4 and 12 and have their parent or legal guardian's consent. Only one entry per person.
(Eligible entrants that have submitted previously will be automatically entered into future drawings. Previous entrants are ineligible to submit a new entry.)

1. How to Enter the Contest:

(a) To participate in the contest, mail your child's application form and weathercast to: "KGMB9 KidCaster", c/o Marketing, 1534 Kapiolani Blvd., Honolulu, HI 96814; or E-mail application information to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Applications must include child's name and age, name of parent/guardian and their parent/guardian's complete mailing address and daytime phone number. Along with the application form/info, a VHS tape, DVD, or electronic video file of the child doing the weather must be included.

(b) One application per person for the duration of the contest. Incomplete or illegible entries will not be accepted. Eligible entrants that have submitted previously will be automatically entered into future drawings. Previous KidCasters are ineligible to submit a new application.

(c) KGMB9 is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, misaddressed, postage due, incomplete or illegible entries.

(d) Odds of winning depend on number of eligible applicants received.

(e) Broadcasts are subject to preemptions and scheduling changes. If such changes occur they will be posted on the KGMB9 website.

2. Eligibility Restrictions:

(a) The contest is open to Hawaii residents who are between the ages of four (4) and twelve (12) (with parent/guardian consent) and reside in the KGMB9-TV viewing area. Employees of KGMB9-TV, CBS Corporation, other television and radio stations in the Hawaii market, and their affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising agencies and their immediate family members or persons living in the same household are ineligible to participate or win.

(b) Viewers are eligible to win a KGMB9-TV contest only once every sixty days. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.

(c) All applications become the sole property of the Station and will not be returned. By entering, entrants agree to abide by these rules, and warrant and represent that their entry is their original work, and grant to Station the right to edit, publish, promote and otherwise use their entries without further permission, notice or compensation.

3. Selection of Winners:

(a) A winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries and they may be featured on Sunrise on KGMB9 between 6A – 7A during the KGMB9 Kid Caster segment, as well as may be featured on the KGMB9 website.

(b) Winners will be notified by phone and email.

5. Conditions:

(a) By participating in the contest, the winners (with parent/guardian consent) agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest, and to sign a publicity release, affidavit of eligibility and release of liability prior to acceptance of the prize. By accepting the prize, winners (with parent/guardian consent) grant to Station the right to use the winner's name, voice, video and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and publicity in any and all media now known or hereafter invented, without further permission or additional compensation (except where prohibited by law). All expenses on receipt and use of prize are the sole responsibility of winner. Winners, by acceptance of their prizes, agree to release Station, CBS Corporation, their respective parents and subsidiaries, and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related activity.

6. No purchase necessary. The contest is void where prohibited by law.

7. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification.
