The line was out the door and around corner at Niketown.

That's because those who sign up Saturday and Sunday pay just $30 to participate in the marathon.

"If you think your gonna run the marathon sign up during the early sign up period. It’s a great price you get a good deal," said co-race director Ken MacDowell.

You can sign up Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This year will be the 36th Honolulu Marathon and it will be held on Dec. 14.
