A beef recall has been announced for frozen May's beef patties and ground beef. Late this afternoon, the Palama Meat Company issued its first recall in its 55-year history. The company says E-coli was found in some of the raw meat from the mainland. None of the finished products that would go to stores tested positive for the bacteria. And no one has reported getting sick. But as a precaution, Palama Meat is recalling 4,500 cases of beef processed at its Kapolei plant between April 9th and 21st. That includes boxes of teriyaki patties, picnic patties, ground beef family packs and chubs. Palama Meat says it has already recovered 40-percent of recalled items. If you have any, take it back to the store.
