{kgmb9}2008_05_09_HAWAIIANNEWSMINUTE{kgmb9} Last week we introduced you to the owners of Hui Ku Maoli Ola. Today we catch up with them to learn about their non-profit organization. Rick Barboza and Matt Shirman love plants, especially those native to Hawaii. That is why they don't hesitate for one second when asked to share work with various groups. Aside from owning and operating a successful nursery, they both feel it is just as important to pass on their knowledge, so they started a non-profit organization for that purpose alone. It's never too late to learn more about Native Hawaiian flora and fauna. As their non-profit work grows, their perspective remains the same. |
