To help protect residents AARP Hawaii set up an area at the State Capitol Saturday where people could shred their documents for free. Residents stopped by to get rid of tax forms, credit applications bank statements and more. "Lock them away. If they have them in your home be careful who comes in your home and make sure you're taking all precautions so your not one of the victims," said AARP Hawaii State Director Barbara Kim Stanton. AARP officials said it is important to protect your documents and make sure you shred them if you're throwing them away. |
