President Bush Calls Wedding 'Spectacular' Print E-mail

WASHINGTON (AP) - The president and the first lady are back in Washington after seeing their daughter Jenna get married last night at the family's Texas ranch.

Before they boarded their return flight today, the president, standing alongside the first lady, had good things to say about their new son-in-law, Henry Hager. Bush said, "Our little girl, Jenna, married a really good guy" and that the wedding was "all we could have hoped for."

A reporter asked the president if he had been up late partying. Bush winked, then turned toward the plane, ignoring a second question about whether the wedding had given the slumping U.S.economy a boost.

The White House has now released 11 photos of the affair at Bush's Prairie Chapel Ranch.

One lakeside shot is of the bride in her white dress and the groom in his dark suit locked in each others arms with the setting sun, gray water and darkening hills behind them.
