KGMB9 55 Years
Dean Wilson at The Players Championship Print E-mail

Sunday was another strong final round finish for Dean Wilson. The Kaneohe boy carded a four day best three under par at the TPC. Wilson soared up the leaderboard to finish at two over par and earned a share of 10th place. His first top 10 finish of the season.

As for the rest of the field. Paul Goydos had a chance to win it in a playoff with Sergio Garcia, but he would double bogey the final hole and that opened the door for Garcia. All he had to do was sink the par putt for the win and that does it. It's his first win of 2008 and his first PGA win in three years. His last title? Garcia pockets a cool $1.7 million for his win.

As for Dean Wilson, he took home just over $200,000 for his 10th place finish. It was the Wachovia back in 2005.
