It's being called the deadliest earthquake in China in more than 30 years. At last count the death toll in the Sichuan Province was more than 10,000 and that number has been rising all day. Scientists with the U.S.Geological Survey now say the quake measured a magnitude 7.9. And since then, there have been four aftershocks ranging from 4.8, to 5.6. On top of that, the chinese government reports that it has evacuated 6,000 people to shelters and sent 16,000 soldiers to the area to deliver aid and help. |
