The symphony isn't saying who she is, but we do know the long-time volunteer has donated almost $1.2 million, the largest individual gift in the organization's history. The money will pay the salaries of more than 60 musicians who've been working for free for the past several months. "It's been difficult for the last several months. A lot of us have taken on extra debt, but now we have a chance to get some of the way and hopefully we'll get completely caught up in pay soon," said Steve Dinion. |
