| Maui Woman Hit By a Car Dies |

On Maui, a woman died Friday morning after she was hit by a car on South Kihei Road. Police said Juanita Baloaloa, 66, of Kihei, was walking along the road at about 4:30 a.m., when she was hit by a car that came from behind her. The 56-year-old driver was not hurt. Police said neither speed nor alcohol played a role in the crash.              |
