Officers arrested him April 27 on the H-1 for driving too slowly and found he reeked of alcohol. Menor said he and his two sons were at the Chicago concert at the Blaisdell and he had two glasses of wine at a late dinner. In court Friday, the prosecutor revealed Menor had an alcohol level well above the legal limit of 0.08. "There were things that could be challenged in court obviously, we did an extensive investigation to obtain everything to verify the veracity of his statements, but there were other factors -- they are in the police report -- that obviously made it a very difficult case," said Howard Luke. Senate Pres. Colleen Hanabusa said she doesn't anticipate censure for Menor but he can expect to spend time regaining the trust of the community. |
