Big City Diner announced today that Tuesday's benefit for the four Dikito Children who lost both their parents during an apparent murder suicide on April 25, 2008 raised a total of $5,300.

The funds will assist the children in covering at least 2 months of their $2,600 mortgage.

Through the event at all five Big City Diner locations, the company contributed 15 percent of customers checks to the children when a special flyer was presented.

The public also played a crucial role in contributing monetary donations at its restaurants and checks were received from donors as far away as Louisiana.
