Jeff's News Nuggets: Deer Fight, Gang Baby and eBay Baby

Twenty-three-year-old sir Mario Owens is serving a life sentence for one murder, may get the death penalty for another, but he's still playing the field on "MySpace" looking for pen pals. He describes himself as "pretty harmless." Other than a couple of murders I'm a puppy dog. A Pennsylvania man is recovering after a wrestling match with a wild animal. After a deer broke through the glass of a hair salon and began kicking and flailing randy goepfert put the animal in a headlock thereby protecting his 11-year-old son. The animal got away but was trapped in the breakroom and later euthanized. I know what you're thinking, "Real men don't go to salons, they go to barber shops." I'm willing to give this guy a pass. No more Starbucks for the Christian watchdog group: the Resistance. It's offended by the coffee giants' new logo, feeling the half-naked, half-mermaid creature portrayed is way too provocative. A spokesman for the group says the chain might as well call itself quote "Slutbucks." And at 4-dollars a cup I hope you get what you pay for. It's safe to say a Colorado man will not be winning the "father of the year" award anytime soon. Nineteen-year-old Joseph Manzanares and his ex-girlfriend belong to rival gangs. He recenlty pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after he and his baby momma got into a fight over which gang colors their son should wear. I say let the boy grow up and make his own decision when he's old enough. The couple's cat has already made up its mind. Keeping in line with steller parenting, a German couple is in trouble with the law after what they did with their 7-month old son: put him up for sale on eBay. What's worse, they were only asking one euro, or roughly $1.57 for him. They would have asked for more but he wasn't potty trained.
