We may have great weather now, but it's never too early to prepare for a hurricane. Make sure you have a hurricane kit ready and waiting. Some of the items you'll want to store are a 5-7 day supply of food and water, first aid kit, radio, flashlight and batteries, medications, and if you have a pet, food and supplies for them as well. Here's the outlook, in the Atlantic, we expect 6-9 hurricanes and 5-8 in the East Pacific. Here in the Central North Pacific, the season is expected to be slightly less active than normal with 3-4 named tropical storms. Speaking of names, next up on the list are Kika, Lana, Maka and Neki. Stay tuned to KGMB9, your Severe Weather Station, and KGMB9.com for updates and information on weather affecting the islands. |
