We all know how important it is to care for our teeth and it's no different for dogs. Veterinarian Sharman Elison from Haiku Pet Clinic says it's important to brush every day. You can use a toothbrush, but a cloth or gauze works just fine. Brushing prevents dental disease and even keeps them from developing heart disease by reducing bacteria in its mouth. You don't even have to brush for long; just a few seconds on each side. Make sure to get the teeth in the back too. A nice bonus for the owners: your dog has better breath. |
