A big announcement today for a local soccer star. That's right, one of our own is headed to the Olympics. She played for the Leahi Soccer Club, Kahuku High School, and the University of Hawaii. Now Natasha Kai will play for the United States at the Olympics in Beijing this August. The roster for the women's national soccer team was announced today. And Kai is one of three forwards to make the squad. She first played with the national team two years ago. Coming off the bench and scoring goals in each of her first two games. She struggled early this year and thought she might get cut. Instead Kai and her 16 tatoos will wear the red, white, and blue. She says, "it's been a dream of hers since she was five years old to play in the Olympics and now it's finally come true." Also in KGMB9 Sports at 6 p.m.:
