June 24, 2006. It's around 4:30 in the afternoon on Nalii St. in Waipahu. Police say a man sitting in a car is attacked by another man. "Just punched in the head for no reason. The male reached into the vehicle, grabbed the cell phone and fled."

The victim later decides to call his stolen cell phone. Police say 26-year-old Miriam Thomas answers with an alias. "At this time, Miriam answers the phone and she identifies herself as Shay. And tells him if he wants his phone back, he's got to meet her at McDonalds in Wahiawa with $80."

The victim agrees and calls police. The next day meets up with Thomas, who's with another man. "They both drive up and basically he's messing with her telling her I don't have 80 dollars but I have 30. In the meanwhile, the male driver of the vehicle starts playing with a knife." The victim feels threatened and police move in. They arrest Thomas for theft and extortion and find drugs on her. She's convicted, but police say she wouldn't show up for a court date in April regarding her sentencing.

Miriam Thomas is wanted on an $11,000 felony contempt warrant.

She's described at five foot five, weighing 132 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Thomas also has numerous tattoos, "Kaleo on her left hand, Kaleo on her right hand. Shay on her right ankle. Her back says kunipokealoha." She also has a recognizable tattoo on her left ankle with profanity.

Police say Thomas hangs out in the Wahiawa area.
