Just in time to help you cool off, Sunrise Sizzlin' Summer takes you to Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park this morning. The Kapolei water park has opened a new ride and attraction, the Tornado and Dive'n'Movies, that are expected to add to your summer fun.

The Tornado will be the park's biggest ride to date. Riders will sit on a four-person cloverleaf tube and rush down a 130' tunnel. Within split seconds, riders will be driven upwards into the upper hemisphere of the Tornado flume where they will splash back and forth on vertical banks; riders are held on by the high Tornado centrifugal force. Riders will then funnel through the eye of the storm to the calm waters below. Manufactured by ProSlide Technology Inc., the clover tubes will be the largest tubes available to ride at the Park.

Dive'n'Movies will feature a large movie screen erected at the park's wave pool. With surround sound system in place, guests will watch movies while floating on a tube or relaxing in the resort like setting the park has to offer. The Dive-In Movies will run every Friday from June 27 to August 29 and feature second released movies that haven't yet made it to DVD. Pau Hana Fridays begin at 6 pm and end at 10 pm.

Admission to the Dive'n'Movies is included in the Park's Pau Hana admission, which is $23.00 for adults and $17.00 for children 11 year and under. Kama¹aina, group, military and senior citizen discounts are also available.
In addition, Pau Hana admission is free to annual pass holders.

Regular admission is $20.00 per adult and $15.00 per child (tax not included). Annual Pass Holders get in for FREE!!! Guests who enter the park during the day will be given a coupon on their way out to come back later that night to join us for the Dive 'N' Movies! Ride wristbands will also be available for purchase.

Nestled on 29-acres of lush tropical landscape in Oahu's Second City of Kapolei, Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park is Hawaii's only water theme amusement park featuring a variety of unique water rides and attractions for all ages welcoming over 348,000 visitors a year. Recently acquired by Village Roadshow Limited, Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park offers thrill rides for the adventurer and family rides for the keiki, along with multiple dining options, specialty activity areas, retail outlets, and a plethora of guest amenities. Just last year, the park opened Island Adventure Golf, an 18-hole high-end miniature golf course.

This Fourth of July, Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park will host the Konishiki Kids Benefit Concert and Fireworks show from 10:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. The concert will benefit the Konishiki Kids Foundation; include multiple activities such as face painting, balloon twisting, a tattoo artist, magician, and clowns; and feature entertainment by Laga Savea, O’Brian Eselu, Kalapana, Robbie Kahakalau, fire-knife dancers, Okinawan drummers, and a DJ at the wave pool.

Select rides and attractions will also be open for all to enjoy. Rides that will be open until 11 p.m. include the Tornado, the newest thrill ride to date at the park; Da FlowRider, a stationary wave ride that offers the thrill of surfing, snowboarding, and skateboarding in a safe flexible environment; the Volcano Express, a fun slide to race family and friends down; and the Cliff Hanger, a six story freefall slide. Families can also enjoy the Keiki Kove, an interactive children’s fun pool full of waterfalls, mini-slides, water cannons and more. Earlier this summer, the park made improvements to Water World with the installation of a new Tipping Tiki. The Spa will also be open for guests to relax under the stars.

In addition, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Foundation. Tickets are $35 which includes entrance to the water park between 10:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. Fireworks start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park. For more information, please contact Eddie Galdones at Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park at 674-9283 ext. 104.

The Konishiki Kids Foundation is a non-profit organization that was created to help broaden the horizons of the Leeward Coast children to make a difference in their community. The Foundation provides children in Hawaii an opportunity to see Japan and to experience what it's like to be in a different culture, and learn how important it is to have a dream and respect their family.
