Canned goods were the building materials used in this year's 2nd Annual Canstruction Competition at Pearlridge Center's Uptown. The local architects who built a giant globe and crane joined KGMB9's Ramsay Wharton on Sunrise Thursday morning. Their team is among four semi-finalists. You decide who will win by voting with more cans and it will all go to the Hawaii Food Bank. "We're so excited about this 2nd Annual Canstruction. Last year it raised 41,000 pounds of food and we are certainly hoping we'll raise more than that this year. Because there are 130,000 people depending on us to bring them food," said Polly Kauahi. You have until noon on Sunday, Oct. 21 to vote on your favorite designs. After that, the cans will come down and be donated to the food bank. |
