Superferry Booked For the Holiday Weekend

After months of delays and political obstacles, the Hawaii Superferry is booked solid for the holiday weekend. Superferry officlas say that ridership numbers are continuing in a upward incline this Summer. Over a month ago, 2,500 passengers boarded the ferry in one week, but last week, head count clocked in at nearly 7,500. "It's about cars, kids and coolers and it's summer and people want to get out. Clearly, it's a great way to travel and something they haven't experienced before," said Admiral Thomas. "Your constantly looking at the islands as you pass Molokai and Lanai and it's just beautiful. Absolutely beautiful," said Sandy Chuenchit. Despite the success, Superferry officials made no mention about expanding their service to other islands
