Bring on the food, games and fireworks. This Independence Day weekend thousands will pack Marine Corps Base Hawaii to take in some big name concerts, carnival rides and enjoy not just one, but three nights of fireworks. Ramsay Wharton is live from the base this morning with more.

• Opening Acts: Marine Forces Pacific Band, Kawao, Willie K
• All Hawaii Cruises Coconut Island boat rides
• World famous Fireworks by Grucci all nights.
• E.K. Fernandez carnival rides, games and midway
• Island Lifestyle Expo with more than 50 products and services
• JN Automotive New Car Show
• Marine Corps and Navy military displays

3 Doors Down and Universal Republic will be conducting a FREE autograph signing on Saturday, July 5 at the BayFest Marine Corps Exchange Retail Tent. Session begins at 6:00 pm.
3 Doors Down is an avid supporter of the military, as defined in their recent self titled album release “3 Doors Down”. Citizen/Soldier was released as a recruitment piece for the United States Army National Guard, with much success. 3 Doors Down has also performed at various military bases throughout their musical career.

Directions:
BayFest is located beside Hangar 101 on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay.
• From the Likelike Hwy: Turn right onto Kamehameha Hwy. Take a left on the H-3 exit off of Kamehameha Hwy. H-3 goes directly to the front gate of the base. Signs will direct you from there.
• From the Pali Hwy: Take a left at the Kamehameha Hwy/Kaneohe exit. Go right on H-3 towards MCBH Kaneohe. H-3 goes directly to the front gate of the base. Signs will direct you from there.
• From Kailua: Take Kalaheo Dr. until it turns into Kaneohe Bay Dr. Take a right into MCBH.
• From H-3: H-3 goes directly to the front gate of the base.

Traveling by Car
• Make sure your driver’s license, valid registration and proof of insurance is on hand, in case you are asked to present them by the Military Police
• All vehicles are subject to random search
• DO NOT talk on your cell phone while driving. Military Police will issue tickets and citations for this violation
• All passengers over 40 pounds must be secured in seat belts, even backseat passengers!

When on a motorcycle or moped, dress code is enforced:
• Helmet must be Department Of Transportation approved and fastened properly under the chin if chin strap is attached to helmet
• Eyes must be protected by shatter resistant goggles or a full face shield attached to the helmet. Safety glasses and windshields are not considered proper eye protection.
• Shoes must be closed toe, over the ankle shoes with hard soles. Sandals, slippers, tennis shoes and other similar footwear are not authorized.
• Reflective vest: During daylight hours must wear brightly colored outer upper garment or high visibility reflective vest. During the hours of darkness must wear a high visibility reflective vest of international orange, lime green, or bright yellow with reflective striping. Do not cover or conceal the vest while riding motorcycle or moped.
• Must wear long trousers, long sleeve shirt or jacket, and full-fingered gloves. Additional protective clothing such as long sleeved shirts or jackets is strongly encouraged.

Traveling by City Bus
• Route 70 Lanikai-Maunawili: limited stops in MCBH. Passengers will still need to walk or catch the on base shuttle to get to Hangar 101.
• Route 56 Kailua-Kaneohe: stops at Aikahi Park. From there, passengers will need to walk or catch a taxi to get on base.
