Fire Numbers Down This 4th of July Weekend

It was a relatively slow 4th of July for Honolulu firefighters. There were 57 fire calls, 26 were fireworks related. That's down a lot from last year when there were 81 fireworks related calls. Captain Terry Seelig says they were worried about fireworks igniting dry brush, which in the past has lead to big wildfires. He says residents used good judgement Friday night. "We didn't want people to be careless with using fireworks that could hurt themselves or others that could start fires, so maybe that has made an impression on people. We hope so. We'll continue to put that message out," said Seelig. EMS officials also had a quiet night. They say there was just one fireworks related call and the injury was minor
