WASHINGTON (AP) - Add Christopher Dodd's name to the list of possible running mates Barack Obama may be looking at. The Connecticut Senator has acknowledged he's been approached by the Obama campaign, saying "they ask for a lot of stuff." The admission itself is unusual. Other Democrats who are mentioned as possible running mates, such as Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill and Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, refuse to talk about the issue and refer all questions to Obama's campaign. Dodd chairs the Senate Banking Committee and was himself a presidential hopeful earlier this year. He bowed out after his campaign failed to generate any enthusiasm in Iowa. Delaware Senator Joe Biden says he hasn't been approached by the campaign, but doesn't mind, since he says he's never had a boss before, and wouldn't know how to handle it. |
