Third Time's a Charm for Miss Hawaii 2008

Third time's a charm... That was the case for the newly crowned Miss Hawaii 2008.

Nicole Fox was crowned last night at the Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall. She beat out 19 contestants for this year's title.

Fox said she ran twice before and has learned from those experiences.

The new Miss Hawaii said she was surprised to hear her name being called.

"My first reaction was...intial shock, initial surprise, and then I thought why did I not pay more attention to where I was suppose to go," said Fox.

Fox will represent Hawaii in the Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas as she promotes her platform -- encouraging children at a younger age to continue their education.
